Q: How does my child get a place at Kilton Thorpe School?
A: The Local Education Authority will advise you to visit Kilton Thorpe if your child's statement indicates that her/his needs would be best met at Kilton Thorpe.

Q: If my child has a place at Kilton Thorpe School how will they get there?
A: The majority of pupils are transported to and from school on transport provided by the LEA. Pupils not in Redcar & Cleveland have trans port provided by their own authority.

Q: Does my child need a uniform?
A: We do not have a uniform at Kilton Thorpe School but expect pupils to arrive appropriately dressed. School polo shirts and sweatshirts bearing the school logo can be purchased by contacting Brenda McCabe at the school office.

Q: What would happen if my child was ill at school?
A: We produce an information sheet which you must complete before your child attends Kilton Thorpe School. This gives us contact numbers for yourself and an emergency contact number if we cannot contact you. In the case of an accident or emergency we would ensure the necessary treatment is administered while we contact you.
